DRIVING INNOVATION FORWARD WITH THE NXG MANUFACTURING AWARD
We are proud supporters of the ND-Connect event in Lübeck this October! At this year's assembly of North German racing teams, we're introducing the Nikon SLM Solutions NXG Manufacturing Award, challenging teams to showcase a conventionally built component of their racecar that could transform when 3D printed.
Teams will present their inventive concepts to a distinguished 3-member jury, experts hailing from material development, design, and the automotive industry. The award ceremony is set to be a highlight on the 14th of October. This isn't just about thinking outside the box—it's about breaking the mold and reimagining it!
SLM TO OPEN NEW OFFICES IN REGGIO EMILIA AT THE REGGIANE INNOVATION PARK
Exciting times ahead! SLM Solutions is establishing its Italian engineering office in Reggio Emilia at the Reggiane Innovation Park. This move signals our dedication to advancing industrial metal 3D printing. With the recent synergy between the Nikon Group and SLM Solutions, our Reggio Emilia center will focus on cutting-edge machine design and product development. By 2024, we anticipate the addition of 30 new experts in various domains.
Our Engineering Director, Alessandro Polacco sees this as an opportunity to collaborate with academic and research entities, enriching Emilia-Romagna's tech landscape. Luca Torri, CEO of STU Reggiane Spa, commends the collaborative efforts behind this endeavor, anticipating fruitful outcomes for the region.
