Long Beach, California – Wednesday 15th of May – Nikon SLM Solutions is excited to announce the appointment of Dr. Brent Stucker as [BS1] Chief Engineer for North America, effective June 1st, 2024. Brent Stucker, a distinguished figure in the additive manufacturing (AM) sector, brings over three decades of invaluable experience to Nikon SLM Solutions, and is poised to steer the company's innovative [BS2] drives and operational growth.
Brent's career encompasses significant achievements in academia, entrepreneurship, and leadership within the AM industry. His background includes pioneering AM applications as a professor in universities across Utah, Finland, Kentucky, and Rhode Island and leading the successful AM technology firm, 3DSIM, which he co-founded. His expertise is further highlighted by his tenure as Chief Scientist & Senior Vice President and later as Chief Technology Officer[BS3] at 3D Systems, where his strategic vision substantially advanced the company's technological initiatives.
Before joining Nikon SLM Solutions, Brent served as Chief Technology Strategist at Wohlers Associates, where he guided numerous organizations in refining their technology strategies and enhancing their market presence. His leadership at Wohlers Associates underscores[BS4] his capacity to shape the future of technology in global markets.
In addition to his professional accolades, Brent is also recognized for his contributions to academic resources, having co-authored the most extensively utilized textbook for teaching additive manufacturing in over 600 universities worldwide.
